Being lucky vs Getting Lucky
The other week I attended a conference where I listened to a speaker talk about how to get lucky. He talked about how he got lucky rather than just being lucky.
He went on to talk about four key factors that will put you in the best position to get that luck.
So here it is, the formula for: How to Get Lucky
FACTOR 1 – PREPARATION
It starts with the resources that we already have and are ready to use. These include relationships and our circle of influence, our business networks and the skill set and knowledge that we have. Ensure that you are constantly nurturing and developing these areas so that when you need them they are ready.
FACTOR 2 – ATTITUDE
We must make sure our attitude shines not stinks. Do we have an absolute burning desire to achieve and are focused on the end goal?
FACTOR 3 – OPPORTUNITY
You can’t see what you don’t look for, and you can’t look for what you don’t believe in! It has to start with a belief and the right attitude. Then you have to go out and look for it and find it.
FACTOR 4 – ACTION
So we are prepared, we have the right attitude, and are open to looking for the right opportunities. The next step has to be about taking action and moving forward towards what we want to achieve.
